As autumn sets in and the school year gets under way, updates to itslearning and new teaching materials will ensure that you get the most out of our platform.
Welcome back to a new school year! We hope you have enjoyed a summer filled with sunshine, fun and relaxation. As we settle into the autumn, itslearning is again ready to assist in improving teaching and learning processes.
New blended classroom whitepaper
In our new whitepaper on the blended classroom, we demonstrate the learning benefits that arise from combining the physical and online learning environments. The whitepaper explains the pedagogical theory behind a blended learning approach. But it also offers real-world examples of teachers who have succeeded with the innovative teaching method. We hope that it will provide the inspiration necessary for teachers using itslearning to start implementing these great techniques.
Updates coming in September
Our product development team has had a busy summer working to improve the platform to make it more capable of meeting the demands of today's teacher. The next release will have some great new features. We will continue to implement our plan to shape the platform in line with the principles of responsive design. We have also listened to our customers and designed some new features tailored specifically to meet their needs, thanks to some hard work in the engineering department. The next release is set for the end of September, so keep an eye out!
800 steps of pure torture
In late September, a few brave staffers will trudge up Stoltzekleiven, an 800-step mountain trail in Bergen. The itslearning team is always well-represented at the annual race, with 11 participants signed up this year. Some racers will be really well prepared, having trained together for the grueling hike in past weeks. Good luck to all of them!
Connect with us!
As the school year unfolds, we invite you to connect with us on Facebook and Twitter @itslearning. This autumn, we will also be updating the itslearning blog with teacher stories and other interesting tidbits. We always like to hear from our users and customers so hopefully we will see you there!
Have a great 2013/14 school year!
All the best,
The itslearning team
